7:30

I feed the horses at the farm on Tuesday and Thursday morning. This is great, helps me to wake up even though I go back to sleep when I get back. I have to get up at 6:25 a.m. but no worries, I am a hard-core equestrian, early is 3 a.m. With that clarified, I get up and basically roll out. There is no reason to get cleaned up to go and shovel horse crap. Absolutely and positively no point! In fact, an equestrian can tell a lot about a “fellow” equestrian based on what that person is wearing. If someone is dressed in clothing that looks expensive, it probably is, and that person is a wimp. There is no other way to put it. Hundred-dollar clothing does not belong in a barn. Stick to blue jeans, tee shirts, boots, and a baseball cap if you are feeling particularly adventurous. Best dressed is not a contest in a barn, it just isn’t.

Anyway…

After I go to the barn I park my car, and if I am not too completely disgustingly dirty by “non-horse people” standards (whatever those may be) I jump on a bus. This is usually about 7:30.

CAUTION!!

When getting on a bus at 7:30 in the morning, that usually means that everyone has just showered and is up and ready for the day. However, everyone may be squeaky clean, fresh, and looking sharp, it is overwhelming on a bus. If you don’t know what I mean, think of it this way. I am sure each individual smells nice individually, but on a small bus in the morning, not so much. There are about 35 different scents of perfume and cologne that consume the bus at 7:30. Like I said, individually I am sure each perfume and cologne smells decent, but intermixed, oh my goodness! I get a headache in the five minutes I am on the bus, but think about the bus driver. The morning shift must last a few hours and I am sure everyone is still smelling, strong, when 10:00 rolls around. He or she must have a migraine that covers his or her entire brain. How horrible would that be. I never understood how people could work in places like Bath & Body Works, because of all the different scents mixing together. At least Bath & Body Works only consists of feminine scents. With that said, the Cyride bus is worse because it is girlie scents mixing with manly scents (some of which are not that manly, but whatever). I have learned a valuable lesson with this experience though.

Lesson:

Be careful how much perfume/cologne you put on in the morning, because chances are no one wants to smell it anyway.
